Cleanouts and cleaning

Junk Removal and Cleanouts for Garages, Sheds and Whole Houses

Garages, attics, sheds, rental units and whole houses cleared out, with junk, old furniture and debris hauled away.

Sometimes the hardest part of a project is just getting the stuff out of the way. A garage you can't park in, a shed full of broken mowers, an attic packed with boxes from three moves ago, or a house that needs to be emptied after a family member passes. We handle the junk removal, from the heavy lifting to the haul-off, so you can move forward.

Spaces we clear out

  • Garages and carports
  • Sheds and outbuildings
  • Attics and crawl space storage areas you can reach safely
  • Basements and storage rooms
  • Rental units after a tenant leaves
  • Whole houses before a sale or after an estate is settled
  • Yards with old piles of debris, lumber or brush

What we haul off

  • Old furniture and mattresses
  • Boxes, clutter and household junk
  • Broken appliances that don't need special handling
  • Old carpet, flooring and building scraps from small projects
  • Yard debris, limbs and brush piles
  • Old grills, mowers and outdoor equipment with fuel drained

What we can't take

Some items need special disposal, and we won't take them. That includes:

  • Paints, solvents, gasoline and other chemicals
  • Propane tanks
  • Anything that may contain asbestos, such as some old floor tiles or pipe wrap
  • Medical waste
  • Tires and car batteries, in most cases

If you have these, we can point you toward local drop-off options or the right service.

How a cleanout works

  1. Show us the space. Text photos or set up a visit so we can see how much is there.
  2. Sort what stays. Mark or move anything you want to keep. We'll ask if we're unsure about something.
  3. Free estimate. Pricing depends on how much there is, how far it has to be carried, and the type of material.
  4. Load and haul. We carry it out, load it and haul it away.
  5. Sweep up. We leave the space broom clean. If it's a house or rental, we can follow up with move-out cleaning.

Tips before a cleanout

  • Go through drawers, pockets and boxes for papers, cash and keepsakes first.
  • Set aside anything you plan to sell or give to family.
  • Make sure we can get a path from the space to the driveway.

Sensitive situations

Clearing out a parent's home or an estate can be hard. We work at your pace, set aside papers, photos and keepsakes we come across, and check with you before anything goes.

Selling or renting?

A cleared-out house shows better and gives buyers a clear look at the space. Our guide on getting a house ready to sell covers what else helps. If there's an overgrown yard to deal with too, see yard cleanup.

Common questions

What can't you haul away?

We can't take hazardous materials like paint thinner, gasoline, chemicals, propane tanks, asbestos or other items with special disposal rules. We'll tell you how to handle anything we can't take.

Do I need to be there during a cleanout?

It helps to be there at the start to show us what goes and what stays. After that, many people let us work while they're away.

Can you clean the space after it's cleared?

Yes. We can sweep out a cleared garage or shed, and for a house or rental we offer move-out cleaning once everything is gone.

Do you donate usable items?

Let us know what you'd like donated and we can talk about the options when we give the estimate.
